Okay, you got me to read this far. Now tell me exactly how Wreal works.

Think of Wreal as asking for a phone number, without having to ask (or give away) your phone number. Or giving a business card, without having to print a stack of business cards.

Besides, who brings business cards to a bar?

So, let’s break ‘Wrealing’ down in steps.

  1. You download the app, and login to your Instagram.
  2. Wreals are simple coins, with a unique QR code printed on them. You’ll be able to order a bag of Wreals. Or get one for free, if you:
  3. You scan one of the coins with the app. This links the coins to your account, and to your Instagram.
  4. Go out! It doesn’t matter where you are or who you like. Whether you party all night with a stranger or exchange glances with that secret special someone over your favourite book in your neighbourhood café, bring a few Wreals. We won’t tell you how to connect, ‘cause that’s all authentic you. But finish by giving a Wreal.
  5. This amazing human, whom you just gave a Wreal, scans it with their phone. No app required!
  6. They can view your Instagram (if it’s public!), follow you, or DM you. And, if all goes well, schedule a next date!
  7. Sometimes a match works, sometimes it doesn’t. Regardless, they now have a Wreal! They can download the app, scan the code, and claim it! It’s now linked to their account.
  8. They can now go out, party all night with a stranger, or exchanges glances with their secret special someone over their favourite book in their neighbourhood café, and pass along their Wreal to whomever they meet. Even if your date doesn’t work out, you’ve given them a way make real connections in real life.
  9. Found your happily-ever-after? Simply give your remaining Wreals to your friends, they can claim them in the app, and use them for themselves.

Where can I buy Wreals?

Currently, they’re only available in a very limited edition (that is, we have a few we test with). They will be available online for sale soon, with shipping anywhere within the EU.

Do I need an account to use Wreal?

Nope! You can scan a Wreal without an account, or without the app. As long as you have Instagram, you can connect with those who give you a Wreal. If you want to claim a Wreal to use it yourself, you’ll need to download an app, login with Facebook, and connect your Instagram.

When do you launch?
